I think its funny how everyone here is so quick to jump on the illegal "Mexicans" that are in this country. What about ALL the Asian's that are here illegally? I do agree that we need immigration reform but for ALL illegal immigrants not just pick and choose. For those who say we need the jobs for "hard-working Americans", well they are more than welcome to go out to the fields, deal with heat or freezing cold and pick the fruit and vegetables that we all eat on a daily basis. However, a lot of those crying are the ones sitting on their butts collecting welfare. No one has to agree with me, this is just MY OPINION

I seriously doubt it. He took a borderline third world country and forced it single handedly into a completely third country. History doesn't document losers that well unless they do a lot of damage to other countries. He'll be completely forgotten within 50 years after his death.

I grew up in Baltimore at the same time as Nancy D'Alessandro Pelosi, when her father was the Mayor. While I have no personal knowledge of this, a good friend and high school schoolmate told me in the 1960s of her involvement in her father's graft. His family company was one of seven construction companies approved to do business with the City of Baltimore. He told me that his father was angry that each year the seven companies would meet with a D'Alessandro aide to decide the split of city contracts between the seven, and the amount of graft: the number of $100 bills in plain envelopes that would be required to get those contracts. He told me that it was common knowledge that the teenage Nancy was the one who would receive the envelopes and tick off the amounts in a ledger book. Maryland has produced notably corrupt officials (remember Spiro Agnew, known in Baltimore County as Ted?), but Tommy D'Alessandro was one of the worst and his graft operation on Albemarle Street adminstered by Nancy was egregious even for Maryland. The tradition continues: the current Mayor was just indicted for theft and graft. How can we abide having so corrupt a person as Nancy Pelois the #3 in line for the Presidency?

I am afraid Hitler was about 300 years behind the times. The first anti-smoking campaign was by James I of England, he claimed it was injurious to the lungs, smelled foul ect. and he put the most punitive import duties on it. It used to be 2d. per pound and he raised it by 6s.8d.

The pathetic thing to me is I am quite convinced Pelosi is totally clueless how hypocritical she is. She still whines about the Republican culture of corruption as if it means anything. She still thinks we should take whatever legislation she wants because Obama had a mandate last year. I truly think she'll be shocked come November 2010 and truly will not understand why people are not happy with her leadership.

How about the culture of graft from the people of the United States of America? Nancy Pelosi has a payroll budget of $4.5 Million dollars for her staff. What do these staff members do for that kind of money? Then, adding insult to injury, she spends $37,000 on flowers and $1.7 Million of stafff meeting menues of delicous meals.

The people of the United States should have an accounting of this type of theft.

Good luck with that. The benefit as I see it was it allowed her to protect herself from any accusations that her meddling in the US intelligence gathering capabilities led directly to 9/11. As such, it protected President Clinton as well. Therefore, she received appointments to other boards that paid her quite well. I've never researched Schlumberger because the actions of Gorelick speak for themselves.
